Women's History Month - History
In 1987, congress passed a law declaring March as “Women’s History Month.” While we honor women year round, March is the dedicated month to celebrate women of the past, present, and future. In addition, many people use the month to honor the accomplishments of American women and educate communities about the history of women in the United States and the women's rights movement.
